This is the Tahiti Lime (Citrus latifolia) also known as the Persian or Bears lime and is the common variety we have in drinks. Most people are not aware that limes do in fact go yellow when they are fully ripe, but they still have that wonderful lime flavour, just slightly sweeter and even juicier. As with all citrus you really can't beat the taste of a fresh lime from the tree.

Current Description

A little shorter than we sometimes send them, what these trees lack in height they make up with for with several good size ripening fruits. A lovely gift for a lime lover, these strong 6 year old trees will continue to put on more growth over the summer months and we expect the first tasty fruits to be ready around Christmas. To encourage as many fruit as possible to grow, a top tip is to increase the humidity around the plant and either a pebble tray or regular misting will do the trick.
